Following the Toned Tan and Toned Grey sketch books of the previous year, I started using multi-coloured mi tientes paper. One big difference here was the much coarser texture, which added an interesting dimension to the drawings – assuming I remembered to use the textured side of the paper, which wasn’t always the case…
